ARTH 206 - IMPRESSIONISM &POST-IMPRESSION |
This course is the study of paintings and sculpture by major European and American artists of the late 19th and early 20th century with an emphasis on the development of Impressionism and Post-Impressionism as artistic movements. Students will learn about the major artistic and historical developments of this time period through lectures, readings, class discussions and museum and gallery visits.
