ARTH 111 - ART FROM RENAISSANCE MOD ERA |
Prerequisite: ARTH 110- Art from Prehistory to the Gothic Period
A survey of western art history with emphasis on its relationship to civilization and its cultural context from the Renaissance to the mid- 20th century in Europe and America. Students will acquire a visual vocabulary of historical art styles. Museum visits will be arranged during the semester. Students will also learn to analyze artworks with identify stylistic characteristics.
